Venue (OOB)For this 9th édition of the school Son et Lumière, the organizing committee invites you to discover a new venue, located on the Mediterranean Sea, just steps away from the Spanish border. The school will take place at the Observatoire Océanologique (Oceanological Observatory) de Banyuls-sur-Mer. This location, which is the birthplace of France's first Marine Nature Reserve, serves as a center for experimentation, education, and dissemination of scientific knowledge, welcoming numerous students and researchers from around the world every year. It will greatly contribute to creating an inspiring atmosphere, conducive to learning new knowledge.
Getting to the Observatoire Océanologique de Banyuls-sur-Mer (OOB)By trainThe Banyuls-sur-Mer SNCF train station is a 15-minute walk from the Observatory. High-speed trains (TGV) arrive in Perpignan. From Perpignan station, called the "Center of the World" by Dali, you can take a regional train (TER) to Banyuls-sur-Mer. Reservations for both types of trains can be made on the SNCF booking website.
